Therapy is a life-long process, though not all of it happens in the therapy setting. Through gaining a strong understanding of our adaptive coping mechanisms, we can use that knowledge to inform our overall behaviors and decisions and continue to gain insight as we go through our day-to-day life. Our work together will focus on strengthening self-awareness and building self-acceptance, which in turn will give you the skills and confidence to tackle life's challenges on your own.
In your first therapy session, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and your goals for treatment. We will also talk about your medical history and any current symptoms you may be experiencing.
The frequency of therapy sessions will depend on your individual needs and goals. Many clients attend therapy once a week, while others may attend less frequently. We will work together to develop a personalized treatment plan.
